What links the clarinettist Ronald Van Spaendonck to cellist Marie Hallynck is a common sense of musical eloquence. Both laureates of the Juventus Foundation, they have made their debuts (he with Alexandre Tharaud, she with Cédric Tiberghien) in Harmonia Mundi’s “Les Jeunes Musiciens” collection, and now are not only belonging to the Belgian musical elite, but also have a bright international career. With the brilliant Turkish pianist Muhiddin Dürrüoglu-Demiriz, professor of Chamber music at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, they have formed a trio in 2006 that fills a gap in the field: they start their recording career with the two original masterworks for these three instruments by Beethoven.
