It is in dance that we can find the extremely rare written descriptions of mediaeval instrumental music that was composed before the appearance of polyphony. The instrumentalists of Millenarium have researched these texts and, using their finds as an incontrovertible base, have reconstituted other dances from songs of various origins. In so doing, they have also rediscovered the gestures of the original players, who clearly had already developed a taste for displaying their virtuosity and their power to move the listener.
