Stefano Grondona, who has confirmed during his development a defining influence by Andrés Segovia, has decided to include his first recorded version of Asturias within a production in which the piece recovers the lustre that it could have had when Segovia began to perform it on his European tours in the 1920s. For this reason, he recovers the original text of the Segovia transcription and, as a continuation, he presents it beside the more genuine tradition of interpretative transcriptions for guitar of Albéniz music, that truly is an outstanding gem in the guitar repertoire.
